The Parable of the
Snow Bully
1. And while skiing
at the Big Sky Resort, Jamal saw plenty of targets.
2.
And being that it was mid-December, meant
it was perfect snowball weather.
3. And
there happened to be a sixth grade class on a field trip.
4. After
scoping the slopes for a day, he went to bed.
5. And
when he woke up, he started his macabre attack plan.
6. And
by noon, Jamal was waiting for the perfect moment to attack.
7. Suddenly
he saw four of the classmates skiing down the hill in a group,
8. And
Jamal decided to capitalize on the opportunity.
9. And
he moved in furtively so no one would catch on.
10. And
he began throwing snowball after snowball, pelting each student in the head,
11. And
he then ran away from the confused mob.
12. And
little did he know that he was under surveillance by his mother.
13. And
that night she had a long talk with Jamal about his fatuous behavior.
14. And
she told him he had to apologize to them,
15. And
he didn’t understand why.
16. And
she said, “It’s a matter of the golden rule; treat others how you want to be
treated.”
17. And
he thought about the golden rule for a couple hours,
18. And
he finally decided to find the kids and apologize.
19. When
Jamal went to say sorry, he met a juggernaut of angry sixth graders.
20. And
he tried to explain that he wanted to apologize.
21. And
after a bit of convincing, they agreed to listen,
22. And
Jamal explained that he felt awful about his actions.
23. And
that day at the resort, Jamal made new friends.
24. And
he actually went skiing instead of throwing snowballs.
25. And
from then on he made many great friends, because he followed the golden rule.
